Cardmaking

May 24, 2013

Anniversaries. Don't you just love them?  Me, too.  It's a time of remembering and cherishing and celebrating the love shared that very special day in which life-long vows are exchanged.  Can't be beat.  We were celebrating Roy and Susan's anniversary and I wanted to make a special card that tried to capture the specialness.  (Can we ever do that?  No, I don't think so, but it's fun trying!!)

I used the phrase from the Our Daily Bread stamp collection stamped with their recipe card die.  Susan does catering, so the recipe card and these cute little silverware pieces from SkyBluePink just fit the bill.  I used paper and flower from my stash.  Sorry, can't remember who they are from.  By this point it doesn't matter.  Just being able to put something together at the last minute is!

On the inside

I placed a couple of golden hearts with borders of matching paper from the front to follow through with the theme.  A leftover stamp that says, "Celebrate," some washie tape, a stamped doily edge, and some cream stock for writing a personal note rounded out the presentation.

On the back I placed my stamp highlighted with again some gold sparkle paper.  I guess I'm just a dyed-in-the-wool, unabashed glitter girl.  It's just the way it is.  I have to have gold glitter in there somewhere!

I'm on to making a get-well card, congratulations on graduating, a happy birthday, as well as finishing up a mini-album birthday gift, so my crafting plate -- as usual! --  is full and I need to get cracking.  There's LOTS of people to bless and love!  Hope you have a good week!  Happy crafting and God bless.

I made some Valentine's Day cards, thank-you, happy birthday and happy anniversary cards.  These are pictures of them.  Have to work on lighting when I photograph these cards.  Still trying to work out the finite details.

They can be seen on my YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ja8HmfZFLco&feature=youtu.be)  and here:
